With the summer upon us it is the perfect time to get on to the coast and have a bit of fun while doing lots for the coastal environment. Have a look at the events below to see if there are any in your area.

This year TIDY Northern Ireland and the Clean Coast programme have teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society to try and survey as much of our coastline for marine litter as possible. If you would like to join in then please have a look at the events below or if you would like to run your own event then please get in touch and we will try to help as much as we can.
On Friday 18th September from 5pm we will be surveying in Newcastle from the Tropicana down towards the harbour. Meet outside the Newcastle Centre at 5pm.
On Friday 18th September from 2pm Business in the Community will be doing their bit on Minerstown beach.
On Friday 18th September from 10am join the Ulster Wildlife Trust for a survey and clean up of Runkerry Strand at Portballintrae. Meet at Portballintrae beach car park at 10am.
On Saturday 19th September from 10am join TIDY NI and local residents to survey and clean up Browns Bay on Island Magee. Meet in front of the beach at 10am.
On Saturday the 19th September Cloughey residents will be out in force to clean up and survey their beach.
On Saturday 19th September from 3pm join TIDY NI and Larne Borough Council to survey and clean up Sandy Bay at Larne. Meet in the car park outside the leisure centre at 3pm.
On Saturday 19th September, join the National Trust to survey at Murlough National Nature Reserve from 10.30am, meeting at the car park by the Murlough Café.
On Sunday 20th September, join Mourne Heritage Trust at Ballymartin, meeting at the Ballymartin Inn at 3pm.
On Monday 21st September, join Mourne Heritage Trust at Dunnaval, meeting at the end of Slatemill Road at 4pm.
