TIDY Northern Ireland in association with Coca-Cola invite all coastal enthusiasts to take part in the 2009 Clean Coast Photography Competition. Prizes will be awarded for the best pictures celebrating the natural beauty of Northern Ireland's coastlines.
Closing date for entries is Monday 21st September 2009, giving you all summer to snap that perfect shot!
Top Tips!
USE NATURAL LIGHT. Photographers are always out taking pictures before the sun comes up, and long after it goes down to get the perfect light for their pictures.
NEW HORIZON. Try framing the horizon so it's not in the middle of the picture.
FULL FRAME. Arrange your picture by thinking about the objects that surround the subject of your photograph. The best pictures have interesting elements that fill the whole photograph.
TRY SOMETHING NEW. Shoot creatively and try to get something
really special. Get down on your stomach or carefully climb a tree to get a new angle.
KEEP SHOOTING. Don't spend too much time looking at the pictures on your digital camera, it uses up the batteries quickly
Good Luck!
When you've picked you're best shot please send your entry into TIDY Northern Ireland, Paulett Ave, Belfast, BT5 4HD OR Email to: jennifer.smyth@tidynorthernireland.org and you could win £100 worth of equipment!
