As an environmental organisation, TIDY Northern Ireland recognises that our day to day operations have an impact on the local, regional and global environment.
As a consequence of this, we are committed to continuous improvements in our own environmental performance and have developed this policy statement, which enables us to put in place a strategy and management process, by which our efforts towards sustainable environmental improvement can be measured and monitored on a ongoing basis. This 2nd edition policy reflects the organisations unique 100% 'Home-Working' practice.
TIDY Northern Ireland's environmental policy statement works to further our visions and goals, including promoting and protecting the local environment by educating the public to correctly dispose of litter and prevent elements of anti-social behaviour. In line with our core values we seek to minimise and continuously reduce negative environmental impacts of our activities and ensure we fully comply with all relevant environmental legislation. To this end we are committed to continuously review the effect our environmental footprint has on the planet.
TIDY Policy Objective
TIDY Northern Ireland aims to become the charity leader in environmental good practice by minimising the environmental footprint of the services we provides. We aims to do this by demonstrating environmentally responsible behaviour and stewardship in the use of resources associated with the running of our business.
TIDY Northern Ireland's environmental policy will be integrated into the organisation without compromising our ability to campaign effectively to achieve our vision to break down negative public behaviour and encourage positive social changes. In doing so, TIDY Northern Ireland, its trustees, officers and employees will at all times comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the environment.
