Additional Resources

We try to gather information on best practice on how to tackle problems with local environmental quality. Within the publications section of this site there are a number of publications that you can download that give advice on how to deal with issues such as dog fouling, fly tipping, business litter and food on the go litter. This section also gives information on some of the market research that has been undertaken by our sister company Encams in England. This research focuses on various attitudes to littering by the public and helps us develop campaigns to effectively alter negative public behaviour.

TIDY Northern Ireland firmly believes that we are the primary agents in Northern Ireland committed to improving environmental quality at a local level. As such we try to influence government to ensure that the legislation in operation in Northern Ireland is adequate to meet the needs of both councils and people. Within the policy and legislation section there is additional information on our thoughts on the current legislation within Northern Ireland. Also contained within this section are consultation responses and policy statements. We hope to add additional policy statements as and when they are completed.
